The Delta Hope House is honored to report that we received 2 awards for the year 2024 at the annual Recognition Banquet of the Red River Valley RSVP on June 4, 2025, in Paris, Texas! The Red River Valley RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is a part of the AmeriCorps Seniors program and is sponsored by Paris Junior College, serving Delta, Hopkins, Lamar, and Red River Counties.
Jerry Nabors, a Hope House volunteer and RSVP member for 7 years, was selected as the 2024 Delta County Volunteer of the Year. Jerry is quick to help with any and everything at the Hope House, whether unloading pallets of food from the North Texas Food Bank truck or loading groceries into clients’ cars. He is known for his friendly greetings to everyone he meets.

In addition, the Delta Hope House was selected as the 2024 Delta County Volunteer Station of the Year, with recognition as a partner with RSVP for over 8 ½ years. During that time, 56 RSVP Hope House volunteers have contributed 44,522 hours of service to Delta County.

As always, we are very proud of, and grateful to, our Delta Hope House volunteers, who cheerfully give of their time and talents to provide service to our community!

On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, the Delta Hope House received two fantastic food donations – an impressive 2640 lbs. from the Cooper Elementary School, and an amazing 4020 lbs. from Cooper Lake State Park! The Elementary School students generously gave their time in recent days to collecting the much-appreciated donations. The State Park donated food items collected from their annual "Christmas in the Park" event held on December 8th and 9th, 2023.
The Delta Hope House and our hard-working volunteers send their heart-felt thanks to all of the generous folks who donated food items, to the Cooper Lake State Park employees, and to the wonderful, caring Elementary School students! We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season!
